OUR PROGRAMS
We offer a comprehensive range of programming to support players at every stage of their development, from beginners learning the fundamentals to athletes competing at a high level. Our structured programs ensure that every player has the opportunity to grow their skills, build confidence, and progress in a supportive and competitive environment.
GRASSROOTS
he Grass Roots Development Program is focused on building a strong foundation of volleyball skills in a fun, supportive and active environment.
Over the 9-week program, athletes will be introduced to and develop fundamental volleyball skills including passing, setting, serving, attacking, movement, communication and basic team play. Practices will progressively build on these skills, giving athletes opportunities to learn the skill, practice it and then apply it in game situations.
The fall program is open to youth ages 12-14 (born 2013, 2014, 2015)
DEVELOPMENTAL
The Developmental Team is for players looking to advance beyond the basics and refine their technical skills and game knowledge. This level aligns with the OVA's Regional Training focus, providing structured coaching that emphasizes proper mechanics, movement, and tactical awareness. Athletes in this tier gain experience with controlled game play, increased positional understanding, and strategic decision-making, preparing them for competitive volleyball.
Our Competitive Team is for athletes ready to train and compete at an elite level, participating in OVA-sanctioned tournaments and leagues. These teams follow Volleyball Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model, with structured training in advanced skills, in-depth game strategies, and high-level competition. Players at this level commit to intensive practices, strength and conditioning, and travel for tournaments, with a focus on excelling in provincial and national volleyball circuits.
