Sault Ignite Volleyball Club Teams Compete at OVA Ontario Championships

Sault Ste. Marie, ON – April 2, 2025 – The Ignite Volleyball Club (SIVC) is proud to have its teams competing in the Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) Ontario Championships throughout April. This highly anticipated event, held in Waterloo and Ottawa, brings together top volleyball teams from across the province, providing an exciting competition for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.

Ontario Volleyball Association 2025 Ontario Championship

The Ontario Championships serve as the pinnacle of the club volleyball season, offering players the opportunity to showcase their skills against elite competition. SIVC teams have trained rigorously all season and are eager to put their abilities to the test on the provincial stage.

“We’re incredibly excited for our teams to compete at the OVA Championships,” said Anna Moody. “This is a fantastic opportunity for our athletes to challenge themselves, gain valuable experience, and represent Sault Ste. Marie on a larger stage.”

The Ontario Championships span the entire month of April, consisting of seven events running from April 4 to April 29, 2025. This year, 1,256 teams are registered to compete. SIVC teams will participate in various age divisions, facing strong opposition from across Ontario. Coaches and players have dedicated countless hours to preparing for this moment, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and strategic play.

SIVC’s first team to take the court will be 16U Blaze, coached by Danielle Oak-Brown and Joe Lemieux. They will compete in Event 1 from April 4 to 6, 2025, at RIM Park in Waterloo.
